Product Overview
SPIDERADIO's in-house developed 4G NSA and 5G NSA base stations employ the Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture, enabling direct connection to an operator's existing 4G EPC core network. Without requiring a new 5G core network, they deliver 5G high-speed data services to end users. Both base stations support EN-DC dual connectivity, where the 4G base station serves as the master node for control-plane coverage and the 5G base station acts as the secondary node for high-speed data offloading. Working in tandem, they enable seamless integration of 4G and 5G networks.
Key Advantages

The core value of the NSA deployment model lies in enabling 5G capabilities at minimal cost and maximum speed. Operators can fully leverage their existing 4G EPC core network and its operational framework, avoiding the massive investment and lengthy deployment cycle associated with building a 5G core network, and significantly reducing both capital and operational expenditures for network evolution. In terms of deployment, 5G NSA base stations can co-locate and share transport with existing 4G sites, providing 5G services immediately upon activation and dramatically shortening the 5G network construction cycle to help operators seize first-mover market advantage. Meanwhile, the 4G and 5G dual connectivity mechanism ensures service continuity at coverage edges, with 5G high-speed experience and 4G wide-area coverage complementing each other to elevate both network performance and user experience. This solution is especially suited for operators and enterprise customers seeking to rapidly introduce 5G services while protecting their existing 4G investments.
